Aunt Jean passed away last week. Prior to moving to East Newark just prior to the summer of 1968, she was a very active parishioner of SRL.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Aunt Jean's passing. We were next door neighbors in East Newark for many years, until my family moved away in 1987. We kept in touch for some years after that, but I am ashamed to say that , with the exception of an occasionaly Christmas card, we haven't had any contact for several years, since we moved to the Shore. She was a wonderful lady who was a part of my extended family growing up. Aunt Jean has been on my mind lately, as recently as today, when I drove past the house while giving my fiance the 10 cent tour of my old neighborhood on the way to Thanksgiving dinner. Mike, I don't remember you as well as I recall some of your cousins, but I do remember your mother. She was a wonderful lady too. I wish someone from the old neighborhood had
told us. I would have attended the wake and funeral. My deepest condolences to John, Susan and the family.
