My friend filmed this in 1982. Very well done for 8mm. It a city subway ride from Franklin to Penn Station. Watch his subject sneak through three zones for fifty cents. Check out his other videos of Newark, also. Some taken right after the riots and Buffalo Bob at a mall.

Mr. Nixon was my favorite trolley driver. More often than not he was at the wheel when I took subway from Orange Street to Bloomfield Avenue every morning and back again every weekeday afternoon from September 1956 to February 1964. Does anyone else remember him?

Wow! Craig, that is a fantastic bit of film. It brought back a lot of memories. I'd like to get a copy of that.

I will ask Joe to make a copy for you. Joe is your age and has been doing this since he was a kid. He had a darkroom when he was eleven and still shoots with film. I told him about, and he visited Bodholt's, just last week. I'll tell him that it's for you. I am ordering a calendar for him, this week.

i'm flattered that the roseville crowd likes 7 City Subway so much. it took over 6 months to make that film, & it's my favorite. not to mention the time spent re-working it on the computer and re-mastering the audio.

did you check out "NEWARK" and Newark Riots "At The Stadium" ? there are lots of areas from Roseville and the central ward in those films.
