Article on front page of Friday's Star-ledger by Mark DiIonno. Winning film festival awards from coast to coast. Shown at Hoboken International Film Festival May 30th, New Jersey International Film Festival at Rutgers June 7th and the South Orange Performing Arts Center. June 8th.
Film reportedly takes a sentimental journey from the post-World War Two Days to present day where principal Ron Stone wears a bullet-proof vest to walk in front of school building.
I went to Weequahic the summer of 63 to bone up on my physics. |

Saturday's Newark Star-Ledger. I remember when Weequahic was the best academic high school in the state. Then I remember when in the 1060's, they had the best high school basketball team in the country. In recent years oldtimers have founded an alumni association with over 2,000 members and have done great things for the school. |

Sounds interesting, think I'll look up the Asso. as my Mom went there in the late thirties. |

Until the city opened up Vailsburg High School in 1961, Weequahic was the newest high school in Newark. Very active alumni association with their own web site. |
