I had to use New Jersey transit today - something I haven't done in YEARS. I took the 74 down Franklin Ave to Branch Brook Park station to catch the "Light Rail" to Penn Station. What a different experience from the good old "subway" days!! I miss those trolley cars, hopping on one on a Saturday morning with my mom, when I was a kid, to head "downtown" for shopping or to go to the library....it was nice to see all the old, familiar stops but still...a totally different experience.....that's modernization for you!

I know what you mean. The new cars are dreary boxes, far from the stylish PCC cars. So here's a trip down Memory Lane:
