After walking out from Frickley and taking half the team, what did he do at Belper? He is not there now and they are well in the bottom half.

Hear, hear! He left Belper as soon as they cut the budget, jumped a sinking ship - and it was still more than we'd probably be paying...

Totally agree, bring back the great man, best team we had for years, if only the board could have matched his ambitions we would be in the conference north now, let sleeping dogs lie and go for it again.

and if only the people of south elmsall and surounding areas would match the clubs ambition and come and supprt the team we might be able to afford to compete better.

Match his ambitions? Marrow did well, he's a decent manager but his budget was double what it is now and almost crippled the club. Everyone is ambitious for this club but unless there's someone willing to put in £40,000 a year, every year then we won't be able to get Prendergast, Collins etc again.

Don't forget Frickley does generate some income, but at the minute not enough to pay its way for bigger players. A sugar daddy is required, however im sure the clubs management are doing everything they can to put the club in good shape for next season. Frickley do need to be more astute by networking with recently relased players and the manager needs to heavily sell the club to them, something im not sure sharpe could do, he is passionless.

PS must be doing something to attract and keep a lot of players. QUite a few i'm sure are playing and staying with the club for wages they could easily better in the NCEL. I wouldn't travel to Workington for £30!! You're 100% right though that the club needs a hefty cash injection. To survive for so long without a major sponsor year in, year out is excellent. I notice the match ball sponsors etc have picked up since Xmas - so hopefully that is a good sign! We'll have to wait and see.

Good shout.
At least his team played with some flair and desire not like the donkeys who have turned out for the last dozen games of this season

Sharpey had better look out if Ranieri gets the boot at Chelsea.

I believe Roman Abramovitch is looking to take over a newsagents and a load of run down terraced houses
