I used to be in a Body Popping Posse in South Elmsall - we used to practice on the Market when it was shut.
We were called the Miners Market Massive - we won a few "dance offs" in particular a big one against the Rossington Rubber Rockers. |

Down at Kinsley coronation club I used to flap my browning mullett to the sounds of akers & sharpe, they looked quite promising untill they nosedived so far into each others backsides they packed in: mind you they used to regularly go down a treat at the unibond premier league social club.
Thye played a song called 'Get Down On It' Think them backstreet boys copied it like, but they also did that vengaboys cover, 'Up & Down' and M-Peoples 'Movin on Up' problem was, that sharpey kept delaying the Up and instead inserted Fu*k before it. I think that akers were last seen at ferrymoor ryddings, thinks hes still down there with sharpey drifting away! Them two have less bite than a bic razer on E1 face. |

I used to love to do the "Funky Chicken" in the Swinger- however many of the regulars did not appreciate my fluid grooves - so I packed it in |

Every weekend in the early 80`s you would find me in the back room of The Plough giving it large with Ken Lynam to that classic 45 "Everybody Salsa" by the immortal Modern Romance. Best Years Of Our Lives? Not half!
ps. Jumping Jive was too obvious Mick. |
