| Phil has done a decent job with the financial resources he has had available.
If the Frickley Managers job was a position in a large company, and you wanted to advertise for a good, experienced employee to carry out the duties of his post in a well structured and professional way, you would pay him/ her a proper salary to be able to do this.
The committee have to understand Phil did his best with the miserly budget he had to play with.
A good manager will cost good money, and then he will need some cash to spend to try and work the auracle to improve results.
This will not happen with Gary Hatto people. Decent bloke, No experience.
Committee members, take stock of the club once and for all. Increase the money coming in, market the football club better, point the finger at the shysters who claimed to be the clubs friends' and left big bills behind to pay as they walked away, that are still being paid off now, ages after they have left. The former chairman ought to be banned from the ground after the mess he left.
Give the current committee the support they need but it will take a long time to get the clubs purse back in order after previous so called financial friends have now slipped away.
Dont choose GH, pick an experinced man with some skills to offer, not an old friend with no previous. Come on. The phoenix will rise from the ashes!!!!! |

The current committee is busting a gut to try and drag this club forward but it's a difficult job. Everyone is an unpaid volunteer, working evenings and weekends. You can't ask for anymore from them.
Ideally more people would get involved in helping run the club but it's hard work. Last year a couple of blokes delivered thousands of fixture leaflets door to door. It worked but takes a lot of slog. The club needs people to come forward to help do jobs like that.
Behind the scenes the club is better organised than it has been for a long time. The last 2 years have really seen a difference in that side of the club. The club is probably been marketed better than ever given our league position. We've got a good main sponsor for the first time in years.
Until more people come forward to help out and through the gates then we will stay at this level. | |
