I'm searching for some imformation that I think somebody at Frickley can help me with....
Once upon a time (unsure of dates), my father played for Frickley...
I was only a wee lad, so its almost 35 years ago... say 1970,71,72...ish.
He's nearly 60yrs old now and I'm trying to find someone who has some old team photos I could get copied..... He emigrates to Spain next year and I'm trying to sort a photo album out with his footy history in it....
My fathers name is Terry Turner, he has very fond memories of Frickley and the people he met there and I would be chuffed to pieces if I got some feedback from this plea.....
Over the years he's spoke often about Frickley, but my brothers and I have never had any photos to look at in his album....
I hope someone can help....

Interestingly, I believe that my dad also played around the same time as this, and also at centre forward. He would have us believe that he was a world beater, but I am sure that the stories got embelished a little along the way.
He is not as mobile these days as he was then. It would be great to stir a few memories of his days at Frickley, and I too would appreciate any old pictures and programme notes/newspaper clips that anyone would be good enough to share.

I have a few progs. with your Dad mentioned as playing at no. 9, centre forward. The earliest such prog. is at Skelmersdale United on Sept. 7th., 1968 in the Cheshire County League. The latest such prog. is at Arnold on March 11th., 1972 in the Midland Counties League Cup.
I can send you scans of these and others if you want.
