my assertion was that rpgfan was an equal, and had no right to give orders. actually, i don't take orders from anyone here. but i'm more likely to bend to the demands of the person that owns the forum than someone who doesn't- i was reminding rpgfan who he was.
rpgfan, like anyone here, can criticise all he wants. he can attempt to give orders also, but if he has zero authority, his orders mean exactly nothing. i did enjoy the little leap made by someone who goes on about proof all day long, however. since i wasn't making the assertion you assumed i was, i see no cause for debating it.
generally speaking, debate is always pointless when your opponent holds the two sides up to two different standards- creationists have no proof of god, or very weak "proof," but demand infinite proof that evolution is factual, when the evidence for evolution is much stronger, but not "strong enough" to outweigh belief without evidence.
our little debates, of course, are just as pointless and just as much a waste of time for the same reason. the creationist feels ever more smug that his belief in his god wasn't "disproven," and the scientist wonders why people are irrational. either way, ego wins, and reason loses. somehow i don't think that's the point of debate, but i guess it depends who you ask. i bet you enjoy debating a lot, but i find it hard to believe you derive anything useful or material from it. your loss.
