Don't know if you heard of it, but some jerk hacked me and put this Jedi Trojan on my computer. It totally mopped the floor with Norton, it self replicated all over the place, leaving randomly named dlls and exes all over. It kept changing my home page to one offering me all kinds of usfull information about dating, porno, enlarging my viagra, etc. Not to mention about 10 billion pop ups all over the place. I had to use 3 different programs to get rid of it. Also it renames itself at shutdown, so I had to hard shutdown (yank the cord) about 50 times.
Anyhoo in the process I found www.short-media.com, all kinds of helpfull stuff there, if any of you are in a pinch.
This is the 15 steps I had to take to get rid of this bugger.

I'm wanting to try out a new antivirus method that I have set up on my computer. But when I search for it, the only thing that pops up is a bunch of stuff on how to remove it... :-(
I still have some exe's and dll's in my norton quarantine

I mean, if you really are a glutton for punishment, I can give them to you. Not sure if they will infect or not, I also have no interest in finding out.
Infact, my quarantine is a warehouse of trojans and viruses right now. Other than that, you could try asking around at www.short-media.com, thats where I found the most help. They would know of most people how to set about getting your hands on Home Search Extender.
