I don't know why anyone turn their nose up at those who live in trailers, or think that is some kind of character insult.
I have some very good friends who live in mobile homes, and they were one of the first I called after the storm (mainly bc I heard some bad news on the radio about their street). I knew they probably went and stayed with some of their family who had brick homes during the storm, but there's really nothing to look down their noses at for those doing so here.
And you're right about the floor plans. I've been in double-wides and wouldn't have known it was a trailer. Alot of folks in CO, build a concrete basement, and slap a MH on top, and have an instant mountain home, at a lot less cost, and you really can't tell from the outside of the newer models.
About Marge's family...may have been a long time ago, but I remember commenting to her that she had a family set-up like the Ewings on Southfork as she described her kids living on the property (all in separate housing if I remember correctly). So that was what I'm going on, now whether or not that is the present situation I don't really know. But I think she has a nice spread over there in Liberty Co.
