After posting the question I pondered this all day
and came to this conclusion...

The word itself by sheer definition means,
"one who follows Christ".

Where?
Where does one follow Him to?

Peter... he was a Christ follower?
John... he was a Christ follower?
Judas... he was a Christ follower?

All the disciples,
secret disciples,
the 70 or 72 who are not named,
they too were followers,
Paul became a follower
and when I thought about that today...

All these people had one common link,
they followed Jesus,
whether it was naturally walking with him
or following his instructions,
as Paul did who didn't physically walk with Jesus
or the leading of the holy Spirit.

They were all human,
all screw-ups in some manner
(Bill & me calls that pond scum)
but, they all loved Jesus
and He loved them,
even Judas.

But, they "pressed on" in learning,
understanding and transforming,
even their own lives.

These people were race runners,
they started it
and they were going to finish it to the end.
Striving on to do just that,
finish what they started.

I agree with Mondo on the one hand,
regarding arguing whether one is a Christian or not
but, on the other hand,
if one CLAIMS to be a Christian,
yet hasn't even got the simplest of "fruits"
(of the holy spirit not man)
then we are to discern such,
not for any other reason,
then to know whether the claim is true
or not.

If they want to continue to claim to be a follower of Christ
and his teachings,
the shame that they bring down,
is upon Christ
and themselves.

********************************************************************

Judas stopped following Christ,

One!life > Ponder: When was that!

the shame was upon him,

********************************************************************

which tells me
that we only know
if one truly is a Christian
in this life,
beyond the doctrines
and beliefs,
when they finish running
and cross the finish line
to where He led them.

And I appreciate the opinions expressed,
all of them.

This may not be the "right" answer
but, its my opinion
at this time in my life lol!

..........................................................

well sorry....but the above....is nothing more than
another example of someone
trying to justify in their carnal mind....
how THEY can judge another person.

They'll take their own person hatred
and contention with others....
and project it into it only being a one sided fruit....

that it is ALL viewing
it from her/his eyes.....
AT someone....
without looking at what their own fruit is ....
within the same situation(s)
they are using to say
they don't see this basic fruit....

it amazes me
how so many christians
spend so much time
on the spiritual status of OTHERS....
they would do a lot better
using that time
and energy on their OWN slavation...
throwing in a ton of fear
and trembling to boot!

and using the above as a lead ahem.....

'This may not be the "right" answer
but, its my observation lol!'

I understand and know what positiveness is....and i choose to say what I say One....for many reasons...some negative...most while do not seem positive for I do not believe ignoring things i see as wrong in myself and others as positive....

If however I have said something to YOU that was not positive...please tell me promptly so i can repent.

what have I done to you?

thanks.

One!life > Ponder: gerardlife, here is the postiveness steps:
John 10:8,17,18
said Jesus I lay down my life,
No man taketh it from me,
but I lay it down of myself.
I have power to lay it down,
and I have power to take it again.

John 13:10,20,24,26,27 Jesus saith,
He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me;
Simon Peter therefore he should ask who it should be
of whom he spake.
Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop,
when I have dipped it.
And when he had dipped the sop,
he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
And after the sop Satan entered into him.
Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.

John 19:10,11
Then saith Pilate unto him,
knowest thou not that I have power to crucify thee,
Jesus answered,
Thou couldest have no power at all against me,
except it were given thee from above:
therefore he that delivered me
unto thee hath the greater sin.

John 14:23,15:13,14,15,16
Jesus said,
Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
I have called you friends;
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you,
and ordained you, that ye should go

Matthew 26:47,49
Judas, one of the twelve, came
forthwith he came to Jesus,
Jesus said unto him, Friend,

But who prays for Satan?
Who in eighteen centuries,
has had the common humanity to pray
for the one sinner that needed it most,
our one fellow and brother

One!life > KJV Bible Read'ns: Matthew 13:36,37
Jesus,He said,The enemy is the devil;
2 Thessalonians 3:15
Yet count him not as an enemy,
but admonish him as a brother.

who most needed a friend yet

One!life > Jesus was Judas's friend!

had not a single one,
the one sinner among us all
who had the highest and clearest right
to every Christian's daily and nightly prayers,
for the plain and unassailable reason
that his was the first and greatest need,
he being among sinners the supremest?

I have always felt friendly toward Satan.

it must be in the blood,
