Response to No need to 'put' anything...an answer seasoned with salt would be what i need.
Not interrupting here Gerard, but just want to add one thing about this here.
And that be what is in the heart is what makes the difference in what we say, and not always what it sounds like to the flesh.
In other words, is the heart pure, and filled with the love of God? Or is it full of vain glory instead?
Am saying this because of what it says about this your talking about here to Louis in Gal. 5:
24: And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25: If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26: Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
This scripture is not to you becuase of what your saying here either. But to Louis concerning what he is doing that you are seeing.
I know your trying to correct him because of what you do see. Which is admirable of you to do so. Shows you care. I have an idea that Louis knows this too, knowing louis, and is not going to answer you here at all. As so far he has not has he. So I am going to tell you what I believe about this now. OK?
And ask you a question first of all. Are you seeing what is in his heart concerning those he is speaking to the way he is doing so first of all? Because that is what is going to matter always to begin with. Right? Meaning Jesus always spoke to everyone thru love, right? Even though the Word He often gave was hard. I am also certain He also was always concerned about others being led astray possibly, because of what he believed to be the truth, So what would Jesus have done had someone came along with lies in order to confuse and lead others astray thru that lie? Would He not have spoken the truth to those others at the same time, as well as to all those that were hearing them? Now, let us take this over to why Louis may be doing the same thing too? Of course, there again having a heart filled with Christs love as well of course, thus being led of God to do what He said, and not what men beleive He should do. Which we all should be walking in the same if we are abiding in Him and He is abiding in them. Right? And of course, each one of us will be led at times in different ways, to do what we are doing too. That depends on what God has sent each to do. As we all are different, and also being different, have different functions or gifts in the body as well.
So what if Louis is doing what the Lord is telling Him to do after all? Being led by the Spirit and not the flesh after all? Yet we are seeing what another does in the flesh, and not as a result of the heart? Doing so because of how it appears to us personally.
Yet we end up seeing thru the way it appears to us personally as seeing his reasons for doing what he does therefore of the flesh or vanity, or even meanness? Which is normal of course. But our judgment of this may be way off, our not realizing it at all. Because it can be can't it? I know I have thought people were doing what they were doing out of meanness.
Not that we are to do the same another does either. As we should not do so at all. Only should we do anything if God tells us to do so period. Because if we would do the same thing and God has not told us to do so, then our doing it would be flesh wouldn't it? Because we are not led of the Spirit to do the same as anyone else necessarily. Not to see or act or do the same things another does. And as I see it, Louis knows this fully too. Which is why he has never told anyone to do the same thing he does. Right?
And besides, if he is wrong about what he is doing, he is the one that will end up having to answer to God. Which I am sure he is fully aware of that too, whether all of us are or not. As some may not be aware of this at the same time either. Depends on whether you do see it. I know that I am not to do what Louis is doing at all. Because God has never told me to do so. Probably wouldn't be able to anyway, without falling away into the flesh, just to be honest. Because I would not be able to stand up under the persecution that would come as a result, just to be honest. Few could, and still walk fully in the love of God. Could you? And I could not, because God has not anointed me to do so. So for that I am thankful.
Anyway, just felt led to share what I do see about this.
Probably all of us should read and study what it does say about such thing in Galatians chapter 5, along with what Christ did in the gospels, as well as what it says about gift and callings of God too, written in 1 Cor. chapters 12-13. Included that last one, because of knowing that if we have not the love of God that only can come forth thru His Spirit, we have nothing. So we need to seek God what He wants us personally to do at all times. And maybe at least try to understand other believers that do not do the same thing we do ourselves. Especially those of the household of faith.
So this is not saying your wrong Gerard, and Louis is right at all. Just saying what I see myself at this time. As you are never wrong to remind anyone of what the Word does say either. In that repect, we are never wrong. We just can be wrong about what we might be seeing about others sometimes, because of not being able to see within the heart of another always.
Only by the grace of God go I,
"If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is IN him." John 7:17-18
