Response to Yes, he died
I am looking more at what Joanne wrote for now, than what you wrote. considering that instead.
But as for God dieing, I definitely do not recall Jack or Jay giving me any scriptures on this issue at all. As I recall they pretty much stayed out of that one.
What they mostly have given me is proof that God has come to us in three different ways. Proving what I believe, just as much as they are proving what they believe Dave. Meaning we are pretty much at a stalemate on that issue entirely.
But you really need to stop telling me what to believe, just because you believe it, but instead give some scripture to me that says God died. And if you don't know of any, then you should address what that is speaking of I gave you in
50: JESUS WHEN HE CRIED AGAIN WITH A LOUD VOICE, YIELDED UP THE GHOST.
You see Dave, I give scripture as to why I don't believe God died on the cross, and you, as well as others just ignore it, as if it wasn't there. Going right on and telling me what you believe.
And I have told you why I believe what I do, and everyone here just ignores that too.
So explain what that scripture is saying there at the very end, where it says "YIELDED UP THE GHOST."?
Because when one yield something up, it seems to me it goes somewhere doesn't it? And in this case it specifically says it was some sort of Ghost that went somewhere.
either you or Joanne or Jack and Jay or anyone else would be fine with me of course.
But you really need to stop ignoring scripture entirely, which you do constantly.
I am as much of a seeker of the truth as anyone else here. And I have never failed to say, gee I was wrong about something when I am. But not when people ignore my scriptures I share that says I might just be right about what I am seeing. That is no way to do when anyone wants the truth at all. Most of you here just go on as if you are always right, and if we do not believe you might be right by what you tell us, giving scripture why, you mostly ignore it. Has your church addressed that. Then lets have what they teach if they have the page where they have done so, so I can go there to read it. Because I am not saying I am right. But so far I have to say I am, and that God didn't die on that cross unless you give me some proof that He did. But right now as I see it, that scripture proves He didn't die as you keep telling me. Our words are cheap. The truth is in the scriptures Dave, not in what you or any other man says, unless they can prove it in some way or another.
So address that. Otherwise, this discussion between you and I anyway, has come to nought. And I do not believe I am being out of order to ask what I am asking either.
Some use scripture whenever it serves to prove what they have chosen to believe. But then reject or ignore others whenever it doesn't, but instead is contradictory to what they have chosen to believe. Instead of finding out why some do contradict others dealing with the same subjects.
Love in Christ,
