Response to ah yes, Dave

Is a comparison between the Old Covenant between God and Israel, and the New Covenant which supersedes the Old Covenant. "The term "the letter" is Paulism slang for the Old Covenant, and "the Spirit" refers to the New Covenant. The Old Covenant was also known as the "ministration of death" because it brought realization of sin and its consequences and could not save. It required death by stoning if the Law was broken. The New Covenant not only offers salvation, but deliverance from the Law of sin and death and invokes mercy as well as justice. Sandy, you are taking this scripture OUT OF CONTEXT in your effort to try to suppress exposure and correction of false teaching such as that Roy has fallen prey to and promoting.
