We pretty well seem to agree on what you shared there. Except As I do use some of the others, and have several different ones. But admittedly, I usually end up using the KJV it seems. I have an old
I have an older 6 version parallel Bible I really like to check out sometimes, because one of the versions is the KJV Have considered getting one with the OT in it also, but just never have.
But honestly, when it comes to word usage being the best over some of these newer versions, I would trust the KJV over the others so far as using the better word to use quite often. Not that they always did, that I don't know. I just have usually found it true whenever I have searched the meaning of a word down they used, where the others sometimes chose a different one. Which I guess is why I do prefer it still. But any Bible can draw another closer to Christ of course.
They did not even have the NT when the church first began like we do. They had the OT, but not the New.
