The difference between the political Right and Left:

The political Right people want minimum government involvement, and therefore minimum taxes payable. They ignore the fact that many who want/need jobs are not qualified to fill the available jobs. They may have been "goofing off" instead of doing their homework, and now nobody will hire them. But the Rightists want these people to get (non-existing?) jobs, and they think that those who have no jobs don't want to work.
..... The political Left people are the "bleeding hearts". They want to help everybody who needs and wants help, never mind what the cost. The result, if the Leftist aims would be really "properly" implemented, would be "sky-high" taxes, much too high; those proposing that method will stay out of power for a very long time. Advocating higher taxes can lead to political suicide.
.....The method Jesus used was to "pluck out" of the "normal" society those who wanted and deserved (no others!) help (Fishers of men!) and, if fully qualified for membership of "the Kingdom of God", put them into artificial "families" just as, when we were children, we were looked after well without needing money nor foodstamps.
