Greetings,
I'm a marathon runner from the east coast( md), and I was wondering if you could let me know if i should be doing any elevation training to prepare for this marathon. I am going to use this race, hopefully, as a
Boston qualifier, and I am not sure if my race performance will suffer because of the higher elevation in Boise. I'm also wondering if you will
be using chip mats at the start and the finish line. I ask this because I ran the Bayshore Marathon in Michigan two days ago which used a chip system but didn't have a mat at the start. Not realizing this until after lining up midpack at the start of the race, the lack of a starting mat cost me a Boston qualifying time since I missed qualifying by only 27
seconds (gun time). Your assistance in the answering of these questions would be highly appreciated. Thank you very much.

Michael
