Is God's love conditonal? No,but Salvation is.

March 15 2002 at 4:47 PM
Joe McKnight

God loving man does not save man, II Peter 3. This is a very interesting letter from Peter. In chapter 3;1 Peter says Hello. Verse 2 Peter reminds us that the plan of salvation was taught by the Prophets of old and the Apostles. Verse 3-5 Peter is warning us that some people (like a concerned reader) will be running around poking fun at the lovers of the truth: II Thes. 2:10-12(like myself: trying to get the word out to repent: Jesus is coming very, very, very soon). Verses 5-7 tells us that by the word of God the old world perished in the flood, and that this world is held in reserved unto fire for the unGodly men. Verse 8 Peter is reminding us about the 7 days of creation is the type of the duration of the Earth lease. It is verses 9 & 10 that answers the question "Will God's love and concern for us, save us". The answer is NO. God would that every man be saved but they are not Rev. 16:9&11. There is only one way to salvation and that is through Christ Jesus, Thank you LORD. Back to II Peter 3, verse 11 he ask want kind of man ought we to be? Verse 12&13, looking foreward to the day of God (the day of the LORD:Jesus' second coming).Verse 14 be diligent, in peace, without spot, blamless. Verse 15-17 warns us not to twist the scriptures to our own destruction. Chapter 3 closes with verse 18: But grow in grace, and the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him glory both now and for ever. Amen.
This posting is the short version, it is not intended to answer in depth, but to get you to question the feel good teaching of the Hirelings, to become a lover of the truth and study the Word for yourself, do not accept things at face value, TEST IT: see if it is true Acts 17:10-13. IT IS YOUR SOUL, AND ETERNAL SALVATION IS AT SAKE.

To God be the Glory
Joe McKnight

that's what I said

In your posting "Is God's Love Conditional?" you implied that the answer was yes, God's love is conditional and your quoted several scriptures. I just wanted to point out that although salvation is conditional, God's love is not. That's all. I was never debating whether salvation is conditional. Glad to know we agree on that.

If you'd like to respond to anything else I mentioned in my posting feel free.

Thanks!

We are praying for your.

I have read with interest your passionate opinions. As one who has recently left Hillcrest, and who loves all of you, I want to express concern for the spirit of the members there. We left with the blessing of our loving elders, with heavy hearts, because I do not enjoy worship in such a context of conflict and discontent.

We prayed daily for your recent Elder selection, and belive that God did direct that effort. I chose not to attempt to evangelize the lost and bring them into an environment of contention. I know that the various opinions expressed here are not meanngful to new christians, and certainly must be discussed carefully.

Rejoice that Christ is preached and that God is worshipped at Hillcrest, Madison, and Richland Hills. The Spirit is moving among us. With hope for unity in Jesus. Love Janet

I'm sorry that you left Hillcrest. We will miss you.

Thank you for your prayers. Sandra and I also believe that God directed the elder selection process and we pray that the conflicts will be resolved to His glory.

As in all things, good has come out of this. We will be praying for you also.

In Christian Love,

Kevin

Salvation is free, not conditional

April 7 2004, 10:07 PM

Salvation is certainly free! It is a free gift provided through the blood of Christ. It is available to all. However, ACCEPTING the salvation IS conditional upon our faith/baptism and continued obedience (as we continue to walk down that FREE road)! But our obedience has nothing to do with the gift of salvation itself. Our obedience DOES have EVERYTHING to do with whether we allow that salvation to get us to heaven.

...........................THE BOOK

What Happened At the Madison Church of Christ?

There are thousands of churches being taken over across America.

This book is only about one of those churches. It's about the Madison Church Of Christ. By studying the methods used here along with the resource references you might be able to inoculate your church. At the very least you will recognize the signs early on.

Many of the current members of the Madison Church of Christ still don't know what happened.
Some never will know! This book is for them as well.

Madison Church of Christ was a 60 year old church. At one time it was one of the largest churches in the US, and the largest Church of Christ.

It thrived for many years on the vision of it's elders and those of it's ministers. Those visions undoubtably came from the the inspired word of Jesus Christ.

At sometime in the last 10 years there was a deliberate plan by a majority of the elders to take the Madison Church of Christ into a more worldly realm.

They used secrecy, covert planning, and outside sources to scheme and to change the format and direction of the Madison Church of Christ.

The Elders knew that the membership would never approve such a plan. Using the tools of the "Community Church Movement"(consultants, books, seminars, meetings, planters, seeders) they slowly started initiating change so it was never noticed by the members until it was too late.....

At the heart of the plan was the fact that old members were going to be driven off so new techniques could be used to go out and reach the unchurched through new "Contemporary Holy Entertainment" methods developed by the "Community Church Movement"

Old members had to be kept on board long enough to get their plans ready, or the funds would not be there to pay for the new building. So by the plans very nature, it had to be secret.

The church had no plan in effect to renew or approve elders. There was never any need. The elders had always been "as approved by God". 10 of the last 15 elders would begin to shed some doubt on that.

The Elders did not even need a majority at first, because some of the elders went along unwittingly.

This edition starts shortly after some of the members begin to smell something strange in January 2001. Later editions may go back and fill in some of the timeline.

To even start to understand whats happening here, you must read the background materials in the first of the book.

This is only the first edition, and not the end. New editions will be printed as needed. To keep abreast of current changes, please visit our web site; http://www.concernedmembers.com/madison

Here is the list of players;

5 Godly Elders
10 Not so Godly Elders
120 "Deacons" (allegiance unknown)
2,800 - 4,000 church "members"
2 "teners" (people who have publicly confessed to have broken all ten commandments)
Unknown number of "sinners" (This is what the 10 elders call us.)
Unknown number of "demons" (Flying everywhere, to many to count)
