As far as the chords go, I play power chords (e.g. A-string for the root) :
For each verse D - D - C - D -- C - G (E-string Root for the G)
(like 8 times before the chorus)
Then the chorus (also power chords, E-string root) A - A - G - A (twice),
then (A-string root) C - C - A# - C -- C - C#
then back to : D - D - C - D -- C - G , D - C - G
(G-G-G-G-G-G)
repeat verse, chorus, etc
