For anyone who needs to reserve a hotel room, the closest place to the park is formerly the Holiday Inn/ Riverfront Hotel and is now the Hamilton Inn
# is 800-274-3211.
It is about a 1 block walk away from the park toward downtown. The next 2 closest places (hilton and the Marina across the
river) were both booked. Last I checked with the Hamilton, there were pleanty of rooms available.
