Hi guys.

Any mac users have issues with their screen going blank and then the computer going into sleep mode without warning?

It happens when running on battery power or plugged in.

Thanks in advance.

Try resetting your SMC

So it's going to sleep without warning, meaning it's not giving you the kernel crash message and it's not crashing without warning. It sounds like a problem with the power management system not the battery (if it was crashing I would say replace your battery). It's not a fair assumption to say check your power settings and make sure they're not on any kind of accidentally odd setting. My next thought is Genius Bar but they might just say get a new battery when it's about the computer thinking you've shut it, or the battery is close to dying, any sleep situation.

So try resetting your SMC:http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1411

Let me know how it goes.
