CD volume in Nero 8

Hi everyone. A question here for NaC and other audio recording masters.

I have a recording from my Edirol R-1 which sounds plenty loud enough on the machine. However, when I burn it to CD and listen to the CD, I have to put the volume way up on the stereo to hear it. I don't want recipients of the CD to have to do that.

I am using Nero 8. If I use the "normalization" feature, should that do everything I need to increase the overall volume without distorting the recording?

Thanks,

Shrill

normalizing usually means selecting a target level and upping all sound level to reach this specified max level..a better option is to apply gain to individual songs.

what are you using this for?? commercial sort of release or just for kicks?
