The Jags Beat the once first place Colts Today who forgot to show up with something very important.....A goalie.
The Jags Who just came off a 6 to 2 win over Middletown were still streaking.
The colts were quick to grab a 1 to 0 lead, running right into the net taking kevin cibery, the puck, and themselves into the net. But James Sinnett, scored the evener making to 1-1.Then rang one of the cross-bar just seconds later. He than took a penalty and was ejected. The colts than took a 2 to 1 lead shortly after. Then, Sean rafferty scored to re-tie it.
The Jag had more penalty trouble after what looked looked like to be a goalie interferance after a colt hooked his stick up under Ciberys arm, but the referee called the penalty on the Jags Netminder for throwing the stick out of his arm. The jags sucessfully killed the PP unit.Kevin Cibery made two acrobatic saves, then stacked the pads on the colts, to help kill off the referees mistake... Then, Brandon cook scored, and was also later ejected. Later, Brian Gallagher Scored a short-handed goal, making it 5 to 3. Brian Daudelin scored his second of the game, on a breakaway. Soon after Justin Perret Scored fron the center blue-line.The jag'seven let goalie kevin cibery take a shot which just trickled wide by inches.. Then,a wide open Georgia gunner(Zach McClellan) netted one, making it 8 to 3. The Colts had enough, leaving the ice with 3:30 left in the third period. THe Jags play tommorow, Tuesday, July 9th at 6:45pm vs. Middletown. A win tommorow and the jags will clinch a playoff spot. But a loss will leave them waiting till next year. Good luck! GO JAGS!!
