If you see the vid of it there was plenty of old school mainestand moaners having a go at you...outside you would have been destroyed if you dared show your heads...you bottled it afterwards.

Cov took liberties at Maine Road that day, fuck me you call your neighbours for bullshitting.

11 of ours got prison for this and unless Im very much mistaken none of yours got anything, we took it toy you immediately afterthe goal and I would say baked you off but it wasn't even that, you just fucking scattered.

After the game we had a bout a fifteen minute walk back to our coach, we came out of the ground and there was a group of mainly black lads waiting on the corner, they stood for about 5 seconds once we ran at them, they kept re grouping and following us with ever increasing numbers and we kept chasing them off, you can bullshit all you like but we met nothing in the way of opposition that day and that is a fact, Im talking about 50 of us, one coach load, you were very very disappointing

Matey not doubting you brought a very tidy crew.

But Man City didnt scatter anywhere...heres the BBC link:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/2550993.stm

Dont see anyone running from you lot..quite the opposite.

No idea about the black crew you mention...take your word, but the Mancs charged into the North Stand from outside and Cov didnt exactly come forward at that point.

youre a bit deluded...i know quite a few of covs boys (lived there for a bit) and whilst your exuberance after the goal took you towards the main stand that was about it....think some of you realised youd overstepped the mark and some thought youd had a result against families and old pensioners. if you were really up for it youd of got in the stand past the few stewards but you didnt.
after the game....we heard the legion chants coming from behind the north stand gates. the gates then opened and the look on your faces was as funny as fuck.....all went quiet as city steamed towards you....you ran back in, the old bill sorted things and we all laughed at you. so stop spinning crap. you have had a few game lads in your time but usually only when leicester and villa turned up. we always walked untouched at highfield (though some pubs were a bit dodgy as in all areas) and cardiff and leeds have taken liberties big time in the last few seasons. FACT.

Re: chapelfields

What is the point in bringing Leeds and Cardiff into it? Most of our mob have been banned for fucking years anyway, in fact the only decent turnout we have had apart from the Leicester thing was in the Carling Cup at Old Trafford.

I could quite easily talk about United and Everton taking liberties at yours but its a city-cov discussion

We are never gonna agree on this, its always the way on these boards but I do not recognise your version of events in any way shape or form, I was on the coach mentioned in that report, that is all we had one coach load of very game lads and we came out into nobody, we didnt chant 'legion' ffs we are not a bunch of daft kids chanting silly slogans, this was a coach of proper fellas.

We walked to the corner near some shops and a large group of mainly black fellas (or thats how it seemed) came at us and then I would just be repeating myself from my earlier post. I can only tell you that we went home untouched apart from what the police gave us. You have had some decent turn outs in coventry but we were always very hit and miss and by no means one of the most consistent mobs, we were a two or three times a season maximum mob but on this day we took the result, no question

To be fair to the cov lad I would say his account of things is pretty accurate, we struggled to get it together on the day which I found really frustrating cause as he says there wasn't actually a lot of them.

One of those days, lads had brought kids with them, others had stayed on the beer etc just a bad day at the office and cov took the piss a bit

June 12 2009, 9:52 AM

dont dispute cov had some lads out that day as i know one or two as i said. i also think city werent bothered, taken bit by surprise etc so cov had their moment of glory but they didnt make any inroads into main stand when arguably they shouldve...equally after the game (dont even question the splinter group unopposed down the road cos i dont know the truth there) but the main group of cov lads certainly had second thoughts when they came out.
frankly it got a lot of coverage for what it was...

Miles Platting, whats with the caps? I come on from time time but the board is pretty much full of shit these days so rarely comment and when I do I don't always put my name, I did on this occassion because with all the cranks that are on here an annonymous post backing this lad up would have looked stupid. Not like I wrote anything outlandish is it? We were poor on the day, it happens

I'm reasonably well known, don't go anymore and not arsed what you think to be perfectly frank

To be honest, we've always thought that City has quality over quantity. When you take the cockneys and all the other hangers-on that follow United (like flies on a turd) out of the equation, City are No. 1 in Manchester. Most of us feel that way.
