We really do miss Matt JOrdan. He was not the most prolific goal-keeper but he was certainly better than what we have now. If you watched the game last night you know what I mean. If not, DJ made some good saves but he gave up the game winner to easy, he should have stopped it. No reason for that ball to go in. Another one of "Coach" Jeffries moves that we are paying for. PLEASE GET RID OF HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeffries made a huge mistake. He GAVE DJ the job he had not yet earned. Matt had been solid and the team had a good season last year, why change that?

The players didnt know what to expect with DJ, thats too big a risk to take when the team is doing fine.

what do you mean DJ got the starting position as a gift? How many games had DJ started in NY and with us last year? If I remember correclty he had played a few games and did a nice job.

What are you talking about? Look at the defence in front of him. Agreed, he's no Mark Dodd but I really don't think jordan would be doing much better.

Ya'll need to quit hating on dj. He's a good goalie. I know he's having trouble, but with practice he will get better. Just give him time. This goes for all those people saying DJ sucks. I'm glad we got rid o Matt jordan. He wasn't that good either. just watch DJ will improve. Anyways it's not just his fault. All the players make mistakes to. It's especially the coach's fault. He needs to train them better!!! Or we should get rid of him!!!!

I am sorry you are clueless Matt was 100,000 times the keeper that DJ is. DJ is constsntly out of position, leading to the most pitiful performance of any keeper in this league's history. Bo Oshani is a better keeper and I would rather he play than DJ. Every game DJ plays hw sucks and looks scared and confused we need Matt Jordan back or at least someone else that is as good. Finally, this has nothing to do with DJ (He sucks enough already and will not improve to save his life.) The Burn had an oppertunity to sighn and keep Jon Busch, but did not. Why you ask DJ FAN? Matt Jordan. DJ was his back up the last season and was a cheap player. Jon Busch needs to be in our nets, not DJ Countess.

I'm sorry you have forgotten the Jordan years so quickly. Jordan was also out of position on occasion and he tended to let in easy goals. And lets not forget that Jordan had a better defence in front of him. That first year with Jordan was the worst. I remember him recieving the ball and rather than quickly destributing it for a quick counter attack he would bounce it on the ground a few times to get camera time. Very annoying.

But Jordan did get better, perhaps Countess will too. What I see in Countess is a keeper that is keeping the score line usually within one goal eventhough he's got guys like Ezra and Gbandi in front of him. If you think thats easy I would love to see you try.

True he had a better defense, but also had a beteer start. He learned from his mistakes and had Mark Dodd as a predacessor. DJ has not learned anything and continues to rely too heavily on his defense instead of his abilities or lack threrof. ALL I was saying was DJ will not improve. Also thank all involved in firing Mike Jefferies that was the best move ever for this team and we can finnally move on with out that complete imbicle( this as oppossed to an incomplete one).

Yes Jordan was better but that's because he got better. DJ is young and had a bad coach for most of his career. Give him one more year.

ok I will give him that much Iguess he desserves it. Matt still did not look scared and confused. I was at the firdt game of the season when DJ went down. At that time I was concerned and still would be if it happened tomorrow. My point is he went off field and did not return. Jeff went in and did a great job. Afew years back in the same game Luis Hernandez scored his first MLS goal he fouled Jordan really bad, bad enough not only to draw blood, but have it pouring from his head. Matt stayed I can not say DJ would not have, but it shows Matt was tough and I have not seen that from DJ.

I think you are all being a little harsh. Now that we don't have a ****ty coach he will be fine. It wasn't just him not playing well anyway it was the whole damn team. So why a the negative comments only about DJ? He is young and fresh and will do just fine under a better coach.
