So I am new to this homeschooling thing and I saw that someone else is road tripping and making it a lesson. What a great idea! My son and I are taking a little road trip ourselves in the first week of June. I would love some suggestions for learning opportunities along the way. We will be travelling through South Carolina (our home state), North Carolina (just the western tip, really, near Ashville) Tennessee (I-40 to I-75), Kentucky (right up the middle, sort of!, Indiana (I-65 straight through)to Chicago, Illinois. I lived in Chicago for 15 years, so I can think of dozens of things once we get there. What I need are some interesting pit stops! Any ideas?
