So I am new to this homeschooling thing and I saw that someone else is road tripping and making it a lesson. What a great idea! My son and I are taking a little road trip ourselves in the first week of June. I would love some suggestions for learning opportunities along the way. We will be travelling through South Carolina (our home state), North Carolina (just the western tip, really, near Ashville) Tennessee (I-40 to I-75), Kentucky (right up the middle, sort of!, Indiana (I-65 straight through)to Chicago, Illinois. I lived in Chicago for 15 years, so I can think of dozens of things once we get there. What I need are some interesting pit stops! Any ideas?

Thought I would share this site a friend shared it with me. I think it would be great for traveling. Great for home too because we all know we take things nearby for granted

Hi!
Sorry, I don't have any suggestions for you, but my friend and I are planning a road trip going the opposite way - from Chicago (actually MN, going through Chicago), through Charleston, all the way to Wilmington Beach. Anyway, we will probably be taking your exact route, so if you wouldn't mind letting me know about any fun/educational stops you find on the way, could you let me know? My e-mail is chlorina_gina@yahoo.com

Thanks so much!
Have a great trip!
