      After reading the fifth part, I'm going to put a hold on it at the library (as soon as I've finished my ginger chicken). Masterton goes right for the jugular; there's no pussyfooting around in the first twenty pages. Also love the Briticisms. I've been giving OED a workout finding out the meanings of "shufti" and "to eff and blind."
