This is a very interesting selection.One that I may not have picked on my own,but nevertheless fascinating.Mr Bergreen seems to have researched his subject matter thouroughly and though at times it can be a bit more didatic then I care for,I still appreciate being given a brief history.Especially as it pertains to what was going on with the "crowns" that ruled at that time. I am however waiting to get to some of the more adventurous and human parts of the story which were described in the beginning of the chapters.
