I admire Jodi Picoult for tackling such weighty issues, but I'm just not a fan of her style. For me, it's about characterization. In the three Picoult books that I've read, the juvenile characters are far too sophisticated to be believable, and the adults are too juvenile. I will finish the week with the club, but doubt that I will seek out the book. Too bad, because it certainly is an intriguing theme.
