It was the nose clip that sent me right over the edge. I think it's supposed to add to the sense of ridiculousness and fun, but I just can't take it. A hero with a permanent nose clip? Come on! How can this be a romance? He seems more like the court jester than a romantic hero. I won't be bothering to add this one to my to-be-read list.
