While reading the selection for today, I was reminded of a "small" act of kindness that meant a lot.
I moved to a new house - and it was a mess. I had a lot of friends helping, but when they left late at night, I was surrounded by boxes and piles of things. Exhausted I just roamed around some - and then I found one of my friends had cleared the spare bedroom - and made up the bed - and put a towel on the end of the bed. That small act of kindness remains with me today.
So this book really resounds with me. |
