I'm enjoying this so far for the same reasons....I DO laugh at the author's self-deprecating wit. Is it sarcasm? Satire? I don't know but I find him very funny. I understand the humor is his coping mechanism for a messed up (putting it mildly) childhood, nonetheless it makes me laugh. Through all his humor his twisted anguish comes through and this makes me love him and his books all the more!
