Have read part of the portioin of the book provided to us and am thoroughly intrigued with the descriptive writing - feel like I am there with Jimmy on the train, in the wagon bed in the straw, looking out at the landscape, in the garden, etc. - already have it on hold at library - know the name Willa Cather and her reputation as a great writer, but don't remember if I've read other books by her - read someplace in my research that she considered this book "her best" -

Have never been to Nebraska with its "flatness" - makes me want to experiene it for myself - but will probably have to settle for seeing it through Jimmy's eyes -
