I really appreciate how you get into Gus' head about the issue of aging. At 43, I find myself thinking some of the same things she does. It takes my breath away to realize I am old enough to have kids in college rather than my preschooler and middle schooler. Somehow I have to figure out this aging gracefully thing. I look forward to seeing if Gus can teach me what to do...or what not to do!
I am also looking forward to how cooking crosses the generation gaps in this book. The best conversations, the most comfortable ones, that I have with my mom and my grandmother are centered around food.
