Horror Book Club Stranger by Simon Clark Buy book: $6.29 The residents of one of the last enclaves of civilization are determined their town will remain free from a deadly plague which transforms ordinary people into bloodthirsty madmen. Original.
I have been looking for another book about the possible horrors of a plague since Stephen King's "The Stand." This one seems to have promise. Cant wait to read the rest.
This book is really good. It's good because the characters are very interesting, along with a almost believable concept about what could happen if the world almost ended in that fashion.(plague) There are instances of pain, horror, justice, and above all else, love in this book!! It has it all. Above all else, it has Horror!! A good read
I thoroughly enjoyed this week's book. Can't wait to finish reading it. It has me hooked. I will buy it or find at the library. I do not consider myself a real "horror" fan, more suspense & mystery, but the last few horror book-club picks have been terrific. Great job Suzanne! I'm finding books & authors that I never would have read before.
I enjoyed the book. Too bad the library doesn't have it. I also like where you left off. The only real problem I had was language, but what's too be expected when you don't use the language or read it too often because your parents forbid it.
After the last email part, I ran out to nearest bookstore and bought it. Heck, I stayed up till 4am on a worknight it was too good to put down. I only have a few pages left and it's all i can do to not escape work and sneek off to finish it. I love it when a book pays out like that - an unexpected gift indeed.
I truelly enjoyed reading Stranger. Simon Clark is now one of the few horror authors on my must read list. Like Steven King's early work, Mr. Clark draws you in and leaves you holding your breath as his story unfolds. Stranger is a must read for any true horror fan.
