I'm hooked

Thus far I've been grabbed and hog-tied by this read. I find myself horrified and enthralled. I look forward to next "installment."

Too much gore

The plot sounds quite interesting, but if the blood and gore doesn't subside soon, I'm using the delete key.

Private War

Yes, Cindy, I agree, the beginning is very bloody, but
interesting. I may be hooked, I haven't decided yet. I'll go a little further, because this book might have my attention. The start is surely unusual.

Turn off

This may be a product of bad timing, given the current war and the holiday season, but this is just too visceral for me. The writing style is excellent but I don't classify graphic descriptions of women being tortured as 'mystery'. This belongs in the horror section. Delete, delete, delete...

Not so enthusiastic

Yeah - I'm having trouble getting into this one, although I am not yet deleting. A bit gory, a bit unusual but with the introduction of the new character, Meredith, I'm a bit more intrigued. I'll try tomorrow's installment and decide from there.

Nah

I admit, the main character seems pretty interesting but not enough for me to continue on. I'll have to pass on this one.

This is a really great book

I am about 3/4 of the way through this book and I think if you didn't give it a chance, you made a big mistake. This is an awesome look inside the military- but could apply to any major corporate environment- you have all the personality types there. It boils down to a woman in a place of authority- she has to deal with sexism, racism, and about every other ism you can think of and all the whil seh is trying to solve a series of homocides and other crimes. She's doing it understaffed, underfunded, and you just can't help but cheer her on with each little success. I know just how she feels!
