Frankly, the author lost me with this excerpt. For me there was too much incidental chatter that prevented the reader from developing an emotional relationship with the reporter. I doubt that I will read this book.
The beginning of the book did'nt really grab me, so I probably won't search for the book, but if I run into it at the library and I'm in that particular mood, I might pick it to read.
I actually enjoyed this book. After reading the first two excerpts I ran over to Borders to pick up the book. Finished it over the weekend, fantastic read in my opinion.
