Reader difficult to understand

April 26 2004, 6:01 PM

Hello everyone. I'm new to the audio club. The story sounds interesting but the Scottish accented reader is hard to understand and reads pretty fast to make it worse!. Maybe its the Realplayer that I'm listening to on the computer, but I think I'll skip this one because I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to catch everything that is said.

We have that problem too, I haven't yet figured out how to slow it down.

Skip this book

The reader spoke a heavy Scottish accent, along with fast reading. I lost interest in the first two minutes. I've listened to other audio books, with well spoken readers that kept my interest in their book. Rec. skip this book

Loved it

I find the reader's voice quite soothing and personal. Although a tad fast, you can keep up with the story. I liked it so much that I put a reserve on it at my local library. I decide whether or not to continue listening to an audiobook by the reader. I listen to two to three audiobooks per week. Love them.
