Good News Book Club Gifted Hands by Ben Carson Buy book: $5.39
This is the mass market edition of the popular book by Dr. Ben Carson whose inspiring story tells of a frustrated inner city kid whose faith in God helped him become director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University Hospital.
I found Dr. Carson's book "Gifted Hands" a excellent read. Very interesting, motivational and educational. I would reccomend reading this outstanding work. I've read it twice and the second reading was even better than the first.
These are the kind of inspiring story that the world needs to hear more of today. Why is it that such a man, from such humble beginings, who went on to become the Director of Pediatric Nereosurgery @John Hopkins hospital is not well known throghout the country- and specifically , the black community. We need these stories of self determenatiton and innitiative, especially in today's world. Thank you chapter a day folks for this story.
I found this book to be very inspiring. It is proof positive that hard work, family support and believing in your dreams does work. I also enjoyed the personal stories of all the people Dr. Carson helped.
I just finished this book and it was awe inspiring. Dr. Ben Carson is truly a man gifted by God. Thanks for putting this in the book club. I don't read a lot of non-fiction and just to look at the cover I would have passed this one up. That would have been my loss.
