Romance Book Club Love Bites by Lynsay Sands Buy book: $6.29
When coroner Rachel Garrett gets in the way of someone who's trying to kill handsome vampire Etienne Argeneau, Etienne must teach her to love the night--and him.
I am glad that Suzanne picked this book, I have considered buying it for a couple of weeks, it is a nice change from the standard romance. Now if only I was going to the beach, cuz this is probably a good read!
I have to agree with you about the rambling. The premise of the book sounds interesting and it definitely draws me in but it has taken a long time to get to the point of actually knowing the guy is alive. Still, I will put on my "to read" list just to see what happens.
The genre never usually holds any real appeal to me. I read some of Feeney's (sp?) work and I am usually not impressed. Too much gore without the romance. This does not seem as intense in the supernatural arena. I may get the book to finish the story.
I'm a fan of Lynsay Sands, and like her humor. The vampire books about the Argeneau's are different than the usual, darker vamp stories - they're fun, light reads. This one I thought was okay. However, the first in the series, Single White Vampire was a much better book and I recommend that one. I'll still buy the next book in the series to see how that one turns out since I've enjoyed the humor in many of her other historical books.
It's been awhile since I read the book but I loved it. She came up with an intriguing way that vampires were invented. One of the few great paranormal romances you will ever read. Also read her new book “Tall, Dark, & hungry”.
