Mercy Me

I haven't read the first in this series "Mercy Me." I do love song Mercy Me though. I wonder what the turkey on the cover of the jacket is all about. The last two books from this book club that had to do with elderly women were wonderful. I would never had ran across them otherwise. I look forward to seeing how this elderly woman changes her mind about the girls home and how she helps these women.

Good Heavens? Oh, Mercy Me

I absolutely loved Esmeralda in Mercy Me, altho it took me a while to warm up to the book. I'm so glad I read it. What an upper. I'm looking forward to this sequel. I can already tell it's a pip. Thank you so much for this book club. It's great to be able to get a peeky-peeky at a book and/or an author's style before investing my limited time and cash. You are a God-send.

Good heavens this message was for me!

I found it very comforting to see that Esmerelda did follow the Lord's leading. I too am an older woman about to venture out of my element and retire.
I keep saying "whatever You want Lord", but I do not know yet what that is, except to start volunteering for service to the Lord's people and His church. I will keep you informed as things are revealed because my friends keep telling me God has a big plan for my life now. Thanks for reading with me.

An enjoyable read -

Am fairly new to this book club but am enjoying so far the reads - not my usual genre - but perhaps time to expand a little - and this seems to be an adventuresome event for the main character and perhaps some new info for me.
