I'm a big fan of Maeve Binchy, so I was very excited to have the selections from her latest book. Usually her books are set in London or Dublin, so it's a nice change to have it set in Greece. So far, so good-it's what I expected from her. It's a good opening. We'll probably learn more about the characters & what they're running from.
I am a big fan of Maeve Binchey's and am glad to hear that others know of her. When I recommend one of her books, I usually get a blank stare! As always, her story grabs me with the first sentence and doesn't let go. I can't wait to read this book.
While I wouldn't usually pick up a Maeve Binchy novel because there are too many other authors whose work I enjoy more, I do like the way this story is unfolding and will probably seek it out when it becomes available.
Now you've got me interested in the book and leave it hanging with a question! The suspense until it comes out is simply not fair! Okay, so I'm enjoying the book and wish it didn't have to have too much of an intermission. But I'll survive it somehow. I don't want to become famous for being a whiner. I like the way the characters lives are being reluctantly opened up to us. The mystery of what lies beneath will lead me back to this book when it is released:)!
So i have to catch up but.....
I started reading Nights today and my first impression is that it will be a nice and readable story.
I, too, like the European setting as I travel to Spain whenever I can. I enjoy all stories from the Old World. P.S. Now to catch up.
