I hope that this is a good book September 20 2004, 12:58 PM
I think that this book has a good point. I can't wait for the next installment in the morning when I wake up!!!

This seems kind of gruesome already... the story is interesting though.

It's Pretty Good September 20 2004, 6:12 PM
I like the book. I know we're probably in for some very graphic descriptions of this person's abusive life when he was younger and also of his victims' deaths, but I'm ready. I think the author has a tight writing style (so far) which makes for a read that flows.

Not what I thought September 20 2004, 8:08 PM
I knew Flower was dead but I didn't expect what he put in the fridge. The title has more than one meaning I guess.
What could Kenny possibly have in mind for Molly? Guess I'll have to keep reading.
Special friends September 21 2004, 8:48 AM
Well, all I can say about his friend Flower is, whoa. I wasn't quite expecting that turn of events. Today's installment was quite interesting as well, almost like a completely different book.
It will be interesting to see where this goes and what he has planned for Molly. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Wow. September 21 2004, 9:04 AM
Today's scene was quite, well, insane? what with the clown story and Water Mother. I liked it! I will continue on...

A little too much gore for me. I have an active imagination I don't need any help. Seems to me that this title may have been better placed in the horror section. Because at this point, frankly, I'm horrified. I'll stick it out to the end of the week though. I'm hoping that the author is doing an attention getter and will tone it down somewhat.

Intense September 21 2004, 9:39 AM
This book is already intense! I'm hooked already!
The Water mother and baby really threw me for a loop but Molly handled it perfectly. She has already proven to be a top notch character and I am looking forward to seeing her face off with Kenny. Beth ( no login)

This is going to be a good one. It had me hooked on the first read. As for graphic details, it can't be any more graphic than the Patricia Cornwall novels.

Imagery!! September 23 2004, 10:40 PM
An author who crafts lines like this deserves praise for pithy visuals, and plaudits for originality:
'Sasha smiled like a pimp with a virgin in the closet. "What is it you want?" she asked.' Staci ( no login)
What a way to end the week September 24 2004, 11:46 AM
I already had the book on hold anyway...but day's selection would have certainly sent me to the library to find the book... WOW...

This is a keeper September 25 2004, 3:59 PM
This one has been added to my list. I have read Bad Medicine by the same author, which I think was her first novel.
I like the character of Molly, and Sasha seems like fun. I hope she doesn't get killed off!
As for gore, I don't mind it. given the nature of Molly's work and the plot of the book, it may be hard not to have gruesome parts.

What is the main character's name? September 27 2004, 7:37 PM
I haven't checked out the book but my e-mail chapters refer to "Molly" as "Maggie" in a couple of places. Hopefully it's just a glitch and not that way in the book!
