It gives insight into people's and more importantly my buying instincts and patterns.
I like the author's writing style and am planning on borrowing it from my library

Are refrigerators really a necessity? though

I remember living for about a year without a refrigerator... wasn't really that bad. Unless you try to keep things cold with an ice chest.
I learned to just use dried and canned foods as much as possible... This book seems to be written for the person just beginning to experiment with living without afluenza.
