I took my son to see "Phantom of the Opera" at the theater last weekend. In the story, the star diva had been training in secret (with the *Phantom* no less!) until her opportunity to shine suddenly arrived. In a moment of crisis, her well-honed voice saved the opera.
I guess being in the right place, at the right time, with the right stuff is more than just luck, it takes some preparation and patience.
