The "New York Times" bestselling author of "Rosamund" takes readers back to the sensuality, drama, and intrigue of King Henry VIII's 16th-century court to tell the story of Philippa Meredith--the daughter of one of her most beloved characters, Rosamund Bolton.

Whew! Is she spoiled!

This is one childish character. I'm very curious to see how she develops into maturity and what happens along the way. Philippa strikes me as a very impetuous person, and that can lead to some interesting trouble. I don't know. I could be wrong. But I am looking forward to finding out.

Not as good as the 1st tow of the series

I was waiting for this book since finishing the previous Beatrice Small book. I was looking forward to more of Rosamund's story, and was very disappointed. Philippa is a very spoiled brat, who was secure in her future, until her "betrothed" decided to become a priest. I suppose in that day and age, things could hardly be worse. Typical of Ms. Small though, things work out for the heroine in the end, no matter how much she fights. The plot reminds me of one of Ms. Small's old stories of I believe Velvet, from the Skye series. If you like that type of story line, this book is for you.

I thought the story was interesting. At first I wasn't too sure that I would like it, but it was quite interesting from what I read. It is a book I am thinking of reading even till the end. I was pleasantly surprised! Thumbs Up For Me! :)

This is a good book. I am almost finished (only about 3 more chapters to go). I am anxious to see how it ends. I enjoy history and the time period of the Tudor rule, so this book is a good read. I would recommend it to others.
