I really like the unusual setting for the background for this book. The writing is humerous and interesting. I have already looked it up on line and requested it from my library. Got good reviews.
There is another of hers set in the Pro Wrestling world.
Called "Got a Hold on You" I don't know if it is 1st or connected at all.
Can't wait for more Book Club excerpts this week.
Keep books like this coming.
Like everyone else, I'm enjoying the preview of this book. It looks like some light, fun reading, the kind you don't have to think on too deeply, and I really enjoy the fun they're poking at entertainment wrestling. Unfortunately, I'm not seeing it come up in my library system, yet. I guess I'll have to ask my librarian to add it to the list of books I keep asking him to buy for our branch.
I have to say this is a really fun book! :) My husband actually got me into watching wrestling a few year's back. Lol I didnt think I was going to like to watch wrestling cause I thought they were really hurting each other, but then I started to get into watching more wrestling and found it to be quite entertaining. I also find this book to be quite entertaining as well, and can't wait to read tomorrow's read!
I had checked out this book from the library and just finished reading it when Suzanne featured it in the Book Club. I checked it out because the author was recommended by Suzanne Brockmann, one of my current favorite authors. (I have found a lot of great new books by seeing who authors that I respect recommend or read themselves. I call it treasure hunting :-)
Anyway, to make a long story short, I checked out this book thinking it would probably be a waste of time. Since I have ABSOLUTELY NO interest in professional wrestling. Also the cover picture is faintly embarassing to be caught reading in public... But anyway, this book hooked me! It was surprisingly sweet and well written. I promptly went and snagged the other book she has written (also about a professional wrestler and just as good).
