I'm glad I found this. I'd begun with dearreader only recently, with the horror titles, and immediately thought it would be great to showcase so many of the Christian books out there. Lo and behold, you do! Thanks for doing this.
I enjoyed these excerpts from NGI - admittedly it read a lot like the opening chapters of These Dark Ashes, another of her titles but then, we write what we know, and Ms Eliot knows missionary work. She's got a great, comfortable style. Very visual without inundating the reader with over-the-top descriptive prose.
I noticed the next title is BOO WHO. Bummer. The original title BOO (BOO WHO being its sequel I assume) is on my TBR pile... I'd better get to it soon and save next week's excerpts somewhere safe until I'm done to avoid any spoilers. :-)
